Libsyn statistics offers a fully customization export which allows you to create, save, export or set up recurring exports. This option is available for our $20 level accounts and higher.
Note: Stats have moved to Libsyn 5. When you click Stats > Show Stats in Libsyn 4, you will be redirected to the Stats page in the New Libsyn, also known as Libsyn 5. However, you can still export your stats in Libsyn 4 because only Libsyn 4 offers the ability to send out stats reports by email.
To export your stats in Libsyn 4:
- Click Stats on your main menu.
- Click Exports in the left-hand menu.
- Click the Add New button.

The Create Export page displays.
You have the following options for exporting your statistics:
Export Name |
Give your export a recognizable name. When you save your export, you can come back later and rerun the export, or make changes. Keeping the name recognizable will help you quickly separate which report is which.
|
Target Export |
You can choose to run an export for an entire show, a specific episode, or a specific media file.
Select one of the following:
-
Show - Select to export all the statistics for your show.
-
Episode - Select to export the statistics for a particular episode. When the Select Episode section displays, select the episode for which you want to export statistics.
- You can click the Select button to display a list of all episodes, or you can start typing in the text box to filter the list.
- Click Change or Clear to make a new selection.
-
Media - Select to export the statistics for the media file in a particular episode. (The process is the same as when you are selecting an episode, but after you select your episode, a Select Media section displays where you can select the media file.)
|
Export Type |
There are several export options available to you:
-
Downloads by Day - Select to export a total download count for each day in the date range you set.
-
Weekly Totals - Select to export a total download count for each week in the date range you set.
-
Monthly Totals - Select to export a total download count for each month in the date range you set.
Note: For the following options, the time range does not apply to statistics gathered before November 2017; these exports are available only as all-time exports.
-
Geographic Downloads - Gives you a high level, worldwide view of the countries from which your show/episodes/media files is getting downloads. You will get a list of every country from which you have received downloads for that show, episode, or media file.
-
Country Downloads - Select to export only the statistics for a particular country. When the Select Country section displays, select a country for which you want to export statistics. You will only see countries for which you have downloads, and they are listed in the order of most downloads.
-
US Markets - Select to export a breakdown of downloads based on specific cities. It is a more granular breakdown we offer specifically for the United States.
-
User Agents - Select to export statistics for the programs that are used to access your content. For example, if a listener uses Apple Podcasts to access your content, then the user agent will likely be Apple Podcasts. More details about user agents can be found here.

Export Time Range
|
For some of the export types, a time range selection is available. From here you can choose from exporting:
- Last 7 Days
- Previous Month
- Current Month
- Year to Date
- Custom Date Range
If you select Custom Date Range, a new section will open up allowing you to select a date range.
|
Export Schedule |
The export scheduler allows you to configure an export, save it, and have the export automatically e-mailed to you or the e-mail address(es) of your choice at intervals you choose. For example, you may want your overall download totals for the week e-mailed to you and your production team every single Sunday.
Select one of the following:
-
No Schedule - No stats report will be emailed.
-
Schedule Export - Select to have a stats reports emailed. You must enter the following:
-
Email To - This field will be pre-populated with the email address you are logged in as. You can change and/or add to this. To add multiple email addresses, simply separate them using a comma. The email will then be sent to all the email addresses listed.
-
Repeat Schedule - Choose how frequently the email should be sent: daily, weekly, or monthly. If you only want to schedule this one export and do not want the export to repeat, leave the radio button at None.
-
Timezone - The time zone your account is set up with will be automatically selected, but you can use this field to select a different time zone for the exports.
-
Schedule Export - Specify a specific date and time for this export to run.
