Before configuring your FTP client to use Libsyn's FTP service, you will need to setup an FTP Password. Details on how to configure an FTP password can be found in our Uploading Using FTP tutorial.
With your FTP Password set, you can configure your Cyberduck FTP client. To do so, open Cyberduck and select the Bookmark menu, then select New Bookmark.
From the dropdown, select FTP-SSL. Fill in the rest of the form as outlined below.
Nickname:
Enter Libsyn FTP.
Server:
Enter the Libsyn FTP server host name - ftp-lax.libsyn.com.
Port:
Either 21 or 990 (your FTP client may set this automatically for you).
Username:
Enter your Libsyn account e-mail address. This is the same e-mail address you use to log in at libsyn.com.
Password:
Enter your Libsyn FTP password. This is not the same password you use to login at libsyn.com, this is the FTP password you set in your user account settings specifically for FTP.
With these fields entered, click the red X in the upper right hand corner of the window. This will take you back to the Cyberduck browser window.
Double click on the Libsyn FTP bookmark. Cyberduck will then connect to Libsyn's FTP server.
Cyberduck will present you with a list of folders. These folders will be the list of shows (named by your show slug) that your user account has access to.
If you only have one show, that will be the only folder listed.
Browsing into the folder for the show you want to upload content to, you will find four subfolders available. Additional details about what each folder does and how to utilize Libsyn's FTP service can be found in our Uploading Using FTP tutorial.
